Are you studying on a technical or events related course and looking to gain some practical experience working on festival and event sites all over the UK this summer? Our summer staff scheme is an opportunity to work alongside the IPS team and earn money whilst learning the ropes. Most of the summer work is Staging & Structures based (almost all our projects have a bit of LiteDeck on them somewhere!) although our work also regularly includes Rigging, Lighting, Sound, Video and Power Generation & Distribution.

The summer staff works as a paid fixed term contract typically running between May and October, although we can vary exact dates to suit individual applicants. Based in Milton Keynes, this role would involve working in our warehouse and on a range of event sites all over the UK. A lot of physical work is required within this role, so you would need to be prepared for an amount of manual tasks including regularly working outside. It is a great way to gain practical experience to support skills being learnt and find out how things really work onsite.

There is also scope for warehouse only based roles if you are less keen to get onsite, and we are also happy to discuss other placement or work experience based options if you are excited to work with us but the summer staff position doesn't quite work for you - please get in touch to discuss further.
1 Year Paid Work Placements at IPS
If you want the opportunity to work in all the different IPS departments as well as gaining onsite experience, the 1 year placement is a great option. Perfect if you are looking to take a year out of your studies to complete a paid industry work placement as part of a sandwich course - or just want to turbo charge your career.
The 1 year placement works as a paid fixed term contract typically running from September/October, although we can vary exact dates to suit individual applicants. The typical placement duration is 12-14 months and includes paid holidays. Based in Milton Keynes, this role would involve working in our warehouse, offices and on a range of event sites all over the UK. Similar to the Summer Staff placment, a lot of physical work is required within this role, so you would need to be prepared for an amount of manual tasks including working outside. Starting in the goods in/out department, this placement will see you work round all the warehouse departments before joining the office based projects team, and then heading out onsite. It is a great way to get a taste for all areas of the operation, as well as gain practical experience to support skills being learnt and find out how things really work onsite.
