The busy summer season has truly started here at IPS – over the last few weeks we have been all over the UK.
It has been nonstop with mainly outdoor projects, including some local events, and some a bit further afield. Most of our range of roof structures have had an outing already – and certainly all our crew have been out on the road at some point.
IPS supplied our popular 6.7m Litestructures Bandstand for the Redstripe Stage at Field Day in Victoria Park, London and then it was out again in Ipswich for a Commonwealth Flame Event, and then back into London for the Rioja Festival on the Southbank over the weekend. The Bandstand seems to fit in at a whole variety of events, and can be used inside or outside. Ideal for acoustic performances in the round, as a chill out stage, or as a centrepiece, the bandstand can be supplied with red and yellow or green and blue canopy options – or can be custom branded for your event. We have three structures available- and there is still some availability for the rest of the summer.
The Prolyte Arc Roof has also been out and about, with an 8m x 6m structure with PA wings being used for Coca Cola events in Birmingham and Newcastle, and the larger 10m x 8m version currently out for an event in Worthing. With an attractive curved roof, the Arc Roof is available in two sizes, and offers a flexible structure that can be quickly assembled onsite, with a variety of configurations options in terms of stage platforms, wings, and of course lots of branding opportunities.
The larger structures have also been out, with Bletchley Carnival playing host to the Blues Brothers and Britain’s Got Talent Star Bailey on IPS’ Prolyte MPT structure. IPS supplied full technical production for the event, including lighting, sound, crowd barriers, generators & power distribution all as a package. The 12m x 10m MPT structure is ideal for larger events, and the size of the structure lends itself well to band changeovers – on this occasion project manager Rich Wilson had installed a drape line across the rear of the stage to create a backstage area to allow changeovers to be as quick as possible. The L’Acoustics PA system provided plenty of headroom to keep the sound levels up for the screaming crowds, and a dose of sunshine helped make the event a huge success. IPS are comfortable supplying structures either on their own, or as part of a full production package – we can usually offer an attractive deal – why not get in touch to discuss your next event?
These are just a few of the staging projects that IPS have been involved with over the last few weeks – others included the Mini Stage out for a slightly wet event in Hendon, and custom stage structures supplied for a football event at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, a custom truss structure for a public art project in Camden, and a large stage platform for graduation ceremonies at Cranfield University – some of our LiteDeck has even made it as far as Italy, currently on tour as risers!
Alongside the staging structures, IPS have supplied pedestrian and ramp bridges for the Blenheim Palace Triathlon, Large truss structures for a Quarry Show in Buxton, and rigging for a large scale conference taking place at the Arena at stadiummk, and hung a range of trusses, branding and vehicle parts for an automotive client for a launch event in a marquee structure. There are more pictures on our Facebook page – and you can also follow us on twitter for updates.
Whatever your next project, if you need any sort of a structure, then please do not hesitate to get in touch. IPS has a range of Outdoor Roof Structures, and a wealth of experience in making the weird and wonderful possible – we look forward to hearing from you.
