Staff get together at end of Summer BBQ with food, games and awards.
It was great to get almost all 65 of the full time IPS team together for a fun afternoon on Friday. We cleared away the flight cases and set up an event for ourselves for a change – including the introduction of the IPS staff Long Service Awards.
Marking the completion of the one of the busiest parts of the IPS year, this past summer saw us completing over 1200 different jobs, dispatching over 3000 tons of equipment from our warehouse, with the team completing more than 550,000 barcode scans.
The event saw the introduction of the IPS Long Service Awards to appreciate the commitment of our team. The awards recognise each five years of service, with a certificate and a cash bonus. As this was the inaugural year, a total of 22 awards were presented to our dedicated staff. These included 5 year and 10 year awards, as well as two staff members who have been with IPS for more than 15 years. The awards will now run on an annual basis as another one of the ways that our staff are recognised and rewarded.
There was some big news about future plans for IPS, which we will be excited to share more about over the coming months. The company update and awards presentations were followed with some great BBQ food and a few drinks. We then moved on to some very competitive escape room games, with plenty of time to catch up and chat with colleagues before partners and families joined later for more games, more food and drinks - and even a bouncy castle.
We are now all back ready for the challenges of the Autum/Winter season and looking forward to working together getting stuck into the next range of projects.
