The sun is shining, and IPS kit and structures are on festival and event sites all over the UK
It has been a hectic few months and showing no signs of letting up for the events industry. We are delighted to have had our equipment used at all kinds of events throughout the country – a few fixtures even sneaked onto the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at Buckingham Palace thanks to our brilliant clients.
Outdoor Structures have long been a key part of our summer workload, and this year has already seen installations in London, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, and Glasgow to name a few – plus we have longer term installs in Newcastle and Manchester, and there are many more projects to come. Huge thanks to all our hardworking team, freelancers, drivers, and suppliers for making it all possible, plus our customers for continuing to bring us these great projects. We’ve now built almost every structure in our Outdoor Roof Stage range this year with a lot of custom options and are still fully booked for structures until the start of September. Make sure you are starting to plan your 2023 structures now!
We are still looking for more staff to join our team here at IPS, and have various vacancies listed on our website here. Please get in touch if you are looking for a rewarding job, and the opportunity to work on the wide range of projects that we deliver, such as these examples below:
At the start of May, we supplied our 15m Mobile Trailer Stage, plus full technical production services including Sound, Lighting and Power for the main stage of the Hanwell Hootie. The festival featured over 100 bands playing in 15 different venues, with Viaduct Meadow being home to the main stage which hosted bands including Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes, Hot Milk, Crashface and Lyoness.
It was a particularly special year, as 2022 marks 10 years of the festival as well as celebrating 60 years of Marshall, who have a long history with the Hanwell area which is where the company made its first iconic guitar amp. The festival was a resounding success, with thousands of people in attendance. IPS provided a full festival technical production package, including the main stage complete with side and rear cowsheds, a FOH control structure and viewing platform. This was alongside a full festival sound, lighting and power package – all installed, operated and removed by our very dedicated and hardworking crew.
At the start of June, we deployed the 20m version of our Eurotruss PR15 Roof Stage for the Meadowlands festival in Nottingham. It was the first outing for this structure in a 20m wide format and was supplied complete with cowsheds and PA wings. Achieving and imposing 14m trim height, the smartly branded structure delivered a great festival experience as a central focus for the event.
We are taking bookings for 2023 already, and if you are looking for a Staging and Structures supplier, or to hire staging or rigging hardware, or any of the other trade equipment hire services offered by IPS, please get in touch to discuss future events. Meanwhile, hopefully the sunshine will continue, and we look forward to perhaps seeing you onsite over the summer…
