Production Design Studio opening in Newcastle as Project Management team continues to grow
Following a sustained increase in projects in the north of England, IPS are excited to announce we now have a more permanent base in the region with a Production Design Studio opening in Newcastle. Co-located with a range of other creative businesses, the studio will provide a regional hub that will enable the technical production elements of the IPS operation to be housed in a more convenient location. IPS has continued to enjoy strong growth as a company, with full time employee numbers increasing from 35 at the start of 2019 to 45 just before Christmas – and we are still on the lookout for the right people, check out the latest available roles here.
Project Manager Andy Murray joined IPS towards the end of 2019 and has been further developing working relationships with the diverse range of IPS customers and suppliers, especially focusing on the northern part of the UK. Andy will be the first full time IPS employee to be based from the north, although will still work with the team on events all over the UK and beyond. Andy brings with him an impressive range of production experience, having worked on many high-profile projects over the years. Over the last five years, there has been a significant increase in the amount of technical production work that IPS has been undertaking in the north, and this new design studio will provide a space where project teams can coordinate and develop ideas, and better support the diverse range of projects. The increased work has also led to IPS forming strong working relationships with customers and regular freelance technical specialists across the north. Some of the higher profile events IPS have been involved with include the Durham Lumiere, The Great North Star and many more.
IPS is also pleased to announce that we will be again exhibiting at PLASA Focus Leeds in May 2020, with a move to a larger stand to celebrate our 5th consecutive year at the show. The IPS stand at the show is typically aimed towards trade hire customers and showcases some of the latest additions to the extensive rental inventory of Staging, Rigging, Lighting, Video, Sound and Power equipment stocked by the company. PLASA Focus Leeds provides a great networking opportunity and a chance to meet some of the IPS team and find out about the latest products and projects, and for us to catch up with customers and suppliers. Full details are on the PLASA Leeds website here.
If you have an event or project coming up that has a requirement for Staging & Structures, Technical Production or you need some additional equipment to supplement your current systems, IPS can help. Contact details remain the same via the website, email or phone, and one of the team will get back to you to find out how we can help, wherever the event is taking place.
