New 7.5t & 18t Trucks added to IPS fleet of delivery vehicles - look out for us on the roads!
IPS has added a brand new Iveco 7.5t Box Truck with tail lift, and a brand new Mercedes 18t Box Truck, also with a large tail lift, to the vehicle fleet. Both new vehicles have custom built boxes that have been specially designed to fit staging decks – plus the wide range of other stock items that IPS regularly transport around the country.
These new trucks mean that the entire IPS vehicle fleet is now London LEZ compliant, and that we are doing our bit for the environment with some of the most efficient commercial vehicles around – whilst maximising the available payload to ensure we can keep our transport costs as low as possible.
The new 7.5t Iveco has a payload of 2800kg, and we can get up to 48 8'x4' LiteDeck staging modules on – although we suggest around 35 to allow some capacity for legs, steps and accessories. The new 18t Mercedes has a payload of 9200kg, and we can get up to 72 8'x4' LiteDeck staging modules on – although we suggest around 60 to allow some capacity for legs, steps and accessories.
IPS operates a fleet of 10 vehicles, plus with our regular trucking partners at CJ Haynes, we have 45' curtainside artics as well as a 40' step frame trailer and a moffett forklift at our disposal to meet all kinds of transport requirements.
Mr Fox, a driver regularly seen in IPS vehicles all over the country (and pictured on the right in the photo), has been advising on the various demonstration trucks that were tested prior to the purchase decisions is very pleased with the new vehicles, and a particular fan of the Mercedes – although still has a soft spot for the old 18t, which has not yet been fully retired. Another regular driver Roy described the new vehicles as "cracking", whilst driver Ian says "I especially like the reversing camera on the new 18t". Driver Dave declined to comment. Occasional driver, full time project manager and self-appointed horn expert Rich (also pictured) is also a fan of the new vehicles saying he finds the horn on the new 7.5t "a bit cheeky – and a lot better than the old ones".
Keep an eye out for the new vehicles which are on the roads now. The vehicles also appear regularly on our social media feeds - if you are a truckspotter, keep an eye out on facebook, twitter and linked in to see the regular adventures and escapades.
If you have any upcoming Staging, Rigging, Lighting, Video, Sound or Power requirements, we'd always be happy to quote – and can include transport requirements. Alternatively we are happy to load dry hire equipment onto your own vehicles as required – please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
