IPS has a 6.9mm Outdoor LED Screen from Chauvet Professional ready to hire.
Following lots of interest in our PVP S5 5.2mm indoor LED Screens, the new 6.9mm Outdoor PVP X6IP also from Chauvet Professional has now been added to the IPS rental stock. The IP rated version offers various outdoor orientated features, including power and data connections suitable to be used outside, and more substantial rigging hardware to deal with more extreme conditions. The panel size and modular construction mean that as well as being used to build conventional screen sizes, it can be also be used in more creative configurations, such as when the newly delivered screen had its first outing in Newcastle a few weeks ago and the Shindig event as pictured.
The Chauvet Professional PVP X6IP system is a high brightness LED screen is optimised for outdoor use, with an IP65 rating and a 4500 NITs output. The modular screen system is made up from 500mm x 500mm sections, which enable a large range of screen sizes to be constructed. The 6.9mm pixel pitch is higher than panels typically used outdoors, meaning images appear sharper and offers an enhanced screen resolution. Each panel contains 72 x 72 pixels, along with an innovative louvre system which allows a selectable 8% transparency providing a blow though option in extreme conditions.
Each PVP X6IP panel contains over 5000 RGB LED pixels, and weighs 9kg. The new rigging system for the X series features a modular flybar system which is much more versatile than the direct mounts of the S series – ideal for use on outdoor events, and easy to attach to either scaff tube or directly to truss structures. Power consumption is a minimal 135 watts per panel, and up to 20 panels can be linked together, making distribution straight forward to work out. Power connections are made via Seetronic PowerKon connectors, which are IP65 rated to maintain the Outdoor rating of the screen when in use. IPS offer a full range of power distribution to allow everything to be easily and neatly connected.
The screen is run from Chauvet VIP drivers, and configured using LED Studio software. IPS supply screen systems complete with a driver rack which contains drivers, distributers and scan convertors as required to get everything working – and can also provide rigging options either to suspend the screen from an existing structure, or provide freestanding LED screen supports. Also in stock along with the LED screens is a range of related video accessories, including switchers, media servers, monitors, VGA & DVI Distribution and a range of cabling.
IPS offer a range of standard size screens, based on popular requests, although various other shapes and sizes can be supplied on request.
