A new range of Power Distribution is in stock now, along with new Generators added to the IPS fleet
IPS now stocks 25kVA generators, which are available in either a skid mount or road tow configuration. These super silenced diesel event specification units have long running tanks, and are capable of producing 36a per phase on a three phase output. The units have some distribution on board, with 32a 3p, 32a 1p and 16a 1p outlets all on cee form connectors. Stocks of the popular 6kVA barrow type generators have also been boosted, as these units compact size makes them ideal for remote areas needing a simple power supply solution. IPS can supply generators on a dry hire basis, or they can be supplied as part of a full site power distribution package for your event, including generators and fuel management – see our event power services page for more details.
Our range of Power Distribution boxes have also been bolstered, with more units now in stock in many of our more popular lines, including more Powerlock adaptor sets. We are moving more towards the rubber box style of distribution units, with some of the latest sets including 32a 3p, and 63a 3p all with RCBO protection for all outlets. Larger production or site distribution boxes are also in stock, with variable RCDs for the more complicated installations. The range of 13a plugboards have also been in demand, leading to additional types being stocked for 2015. IPS is also developing a bespoke exhibition power distribution system, to meet the growing requirements for electrical distribution that can be deployed neatly, without the need to terminate connections onsite.
IPS has already been implementing the BSI 7909:2011 code of practice for temporary electrical systems for entertainment and related purposes, and is developing a new range of handover forms for use onsite to ensure that all installations are correctly designed and safely implemented – and it is all appropriately recorded.
