IPS PR15 Stage MeadowlandsWe work in the technical side of the events industry, supplying Staging, Lighting, Rigging, Sound, Video and Power equipment and services. Our work regularly sees us out on festival sites, at film premieres, as well as at private and business events. We also offer our equipment for hire, and it can be found in concert and exhibition venues, theatres, schools, fields, film sets and all kinds of other places all over the UK – and further afield.

The services we offer are split into three main areas: Staging & Structures, Technical Production, and Trade Equipment Hire

Staging & Structures covers our Outdoor Roof Stages, Outdoor Structures and Indoor Staging and structures services. There are details of our Roof Stages here, which include a range of standard solutions, such as a 15m Trailer Stage, which is one of the largest mobile stages in the UK, or curved roof options from 6m wide to 18m wide all the way up to our flagship self-climbing structure, a huge 24m wide Eurotruss festival stage. They all can be customised in various ways to add side wings, cowsheds, additional platforms, and ramps to suit your event. There are details of our Outdoor Structures here, which include covered structures such as our Front of House positions or Projection and Control Towers, as well as Rigging, PA and LED Screen support systems – and of course all kinds of stage platform, for performances, viewing, levelling and much more.

IPS Box Truck unloadingWe do also work on a lot of indoor projects. Typical structures include seating or control platforms, equipment supporting or display platforms, steps and ramps, rear of stage bridge structures, and of course all kinds of Stages. Stage platforms for conferences, bands, theatrical performances and much more can be built to almost any size at a wide range of heights – or multiple heights, with steps or ramps to access. Subject to a few criteria, there isn’t much we can’t build.

Our Technical Production service is ideal if you need a complete solution for either one specific element of your production, or we can look after all your technical requirements. We regularly work alongside our customers onsite, so if you just for example want a power and rigging option where you provide video and audio, we are happy to help. If you need guidance developing a design concept into a physical structure, we can help with plans, structural calculations and getting everything installed onsite as part of our service. IPS is also offers Venue Services, and is the in house technical partner for the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.

IPS Office RainbowAt IPS, we are very proud of the services we deliver, and our equipment.  We understand that as important as the large inventory of equipment from leading suppliers, is the technical knowledge, practical experience, and creative flair to fulfil the brief for each event and get the best value from that equipment. We understand the importance of each show, event and production, and the unique combination of pressures faced working in the events industry, and we also acknowledge that all companies and events are made up of people, which are really our most precious resource. We also appreciate the wider role that our business plays, and here are some of the things that we are doing to make things better for ourselves, our customers, our industry, and our community.

The heart of our operation is based on equipment rental. This focuses our efforts to reuse as much as possible, which is reflected in the key elements of our Environmental & Sustainability Policy: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rethink. Carnet ImageIf you need to take IPS equipment out of the UK for an event, and require details for a Carnet, we can provide data about our equipment that you can then incorporate into your own documentation. We are not able to complete carnet forms on your behalf.

As we only allocate specific equipment at the time that a job is prepared, specific details such as serial numbers are only available at the time of dispatch. If this information is required before this date, we can allocate and prep kit earlier, although this additional time will be added to the hire duration and will be chargeable accordingly.

The three types of carnet information available from IPS are as follows:

1 - Pre-prep IPS Carnet report – This can be issued once a hire is confirmed. The report will contain Item name, quantity, unit weight, unit value and country of origin information. It will not include flightcase or packaging details.

2 - Post-prep IPS Carnet report - This can be issued once a hire is dispatched. The report will contain Item name, quantity, unit weight, unit value and country of origin information, as well as serial numbers for each uniquely identified item and all flightcases or packaging items.

3 – Advance Post-prep IPS Carnet report - This can be issued at a time as requested but may be subject to an extended hire period and therefore an additional charge, and is subject to availability. The report will contain Item name, quantity, unit weight, unit value and country of origin information, as well as serial numbers for each uniquely identified item and all flightcases or packaging items.

The ATA Carnet lets you temporarily export commercial samples, trade fair or exhibition goods and professional equipment to countries that are part of the ATA Carnet system. The specific requirements for ATA Carnet details are explained by HMRC here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-ata-carnet Please discuss any Carnet related questions with your IPS contact who will help where they can.
